Christy Ochs

Firm Manager & Senior Litigation Paralegal 

A graduate of the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at UVA,  Christy previously worked as a paralegal in the Office of the General Counsel for the Federal Trade Commission and as a policy coordinator in the human resources department at the University of Virginia.

 

Christy is a native of central Virginia and when she is not in the office, you will likely find her hiking the area's finest trails or tending her extensive garden.​​​​​​​​​​

Paralegal

Jacob graduated from the College of William & Mary with a degree in History and Philosophy.

 

He joined the team at Livingston Law Group in 2025 and has since enjoyed the opportunity to use his abilities in research and writing for the benefit of our clients.

 

Outside of work, Jacob can be found reading a book or exploring central Virginia's great outdoors.

Paralegal

Jacob graduated from Calvin University in 2024 with a degree in Philosophy. He also
participated in the pre-law program, where he cultivated an interest in legal studies and practice. 
Jacob served as captain of Calvin University’s NCAA soccer team
and earned Academic All-American honors. He has also worked with various non-profit
organizations, where he developed a passion for advocating on behalf of underrepresented
communities.

Jacob plans to pursue this passion for justice in law school, seeking to enroll in the

fall 2026 semester.

Jacob is originally from Charlotte, NC, and outside of the office, he enjoys playing soccer,

hiking, golfing, and playing the guitar.

Intern

Kailyn  is a senior at University of Virginia in the Frank Batten School of Public Policy and Leadership. She studied abroad in Spain in 2024, where she received a minor in Spanish.

 

Kailyn joined Livingston Law Group as an intern in 2025 and has since enjoyed working alongside our paralegal team. 

​

Her 2024 research sought to examine the impact of race within the criminal justice system, focused on felony charges in Rikers Island through statistical analysis of incarceration rates and their racial and gender-based inequities.

​

As the Director of the UVA Student Council and Philanthropy Co-Chair of the Lambda Gamma Chapter of Chi Omega, Kailyn stays involved on campus and the broader Charlottesville community.
